Haiti Facebook Forwards

Time to rant:

What is "Unamerican" about holding a telethon to help victims in Haiti? As I browse my Facebook page I keep running across these status posts calling the benefit unamerican, and suggesting that supporting such a benefit means you don't support efforts to help families here in the states.

I have an idea, lets smoke out the hypocrites that keep posting this lame forward.

I challenge anyone who posted this forward, or responded positively to anyone who posted this forward to do this:
1. Sell your computer and cancel your internet/cable.
2. Only buy what you NEED to survive.
3. Donate all extra income as well as income from 1 and 2 to your favorite US Based charity.

The TV stations are not owned by the government of this country, the celebrities that appeared on the telethon have the same freedoms you and I do and no one forced anyone to donate to the Haiti relief fund. This lame forward makes the poster look uninformed and tricks readers into believing we don't do anything for people here in the US.

This telethon had to happen now, because people are dying NOW and will continue to die without help. The United States of America is NOT a country that will sit back and allow that to happen for no reason. Granted, we don't help everyone in this country the way we should, but we, as a Nation, do try. We won't help every single Haitian, but we as a nation can say we tried...with one exception...

...you people that believe this ridiculous post, and the far right winged bigots that perpetuate this hatred...you don't get to say you tried. In fact you intimidated, bullied and belittled those who did. Just because it's not American blood on your hands...doesn't mean it's not blood on your hands. But you know, I doubt you talked any good hearted person into not donating. The only thing you did is made yourself feel better when you didn't donate, and saved a little more money for the challenge I laid out for you.
Here are some great charities you can send your donations to:

My Ferraris

A few years back, I decided I would start collecting some Hot Wheels. Not when I was six, but when I was about 27 years old. I was wondering through the mall, and found a guy selling vintage die cast. He sold me a "Treasure Hunt" for half price, along with a few others. From that point on I have been hooked. Sure, my collecting habit has it's up times and it's down times, but one thing is true, I have purchased one of each new mainline Ferrari since 2007.

Today, I am posting a video of my Ferrari collection, and have to admit, this video doesn't include about 15 more that I have purchased since I made it.

As this blog progresses, you will see more videos of Hot Wheels as well as other things that I find interesting. I hope you enjoy.
